Grammy award-winning R&B singer Chris Brown appeared in court Monday, October 28 after being charged with felony assault for his involvement in an altercation near a Washington, D.C. hotel the weekend prior.
Brown and another person were given felony assault charges on Sunday, October 27 for engaging in a fight that began at around 4:30 a.m. just a few steps from the W, a hotel near the White House, D.C. police spokesman Paul Metcalf said.
According to the police, the man who was attacked by Brown and his companion received medical attention at the local hospital and was released the same day. The authorities refused to give specific details on the man’s condition and the gravity of his injuries but confirmed that the felony charge had something to do with the extent of the man’s wounds.
